“If Allah helps you, none can defeat you. But if He denies you help, then who else can help you? So in Allah let the believers put their trust.” {Surah Al-Imran, Verse 160}

Captured on the plains of Mount Uhud days before embarking on the Hajj Pilgrimage, those days are both a blur and thrown into sharp clarity all at once. I remember the sun beating down on us at the back of our heads, and a surreal sense of living past wash over me. There’s a sense of gravity - that the actions taken place here thousands of years ago have a direct influence on us standing here on that day. We were walking on history while creating our own, and then to be told that this is a mountain that loves us and is loved by us? Surreal.
